July 28, 2008…Austin, TX… DPR Entertainment/High Wire Music proudly presents singer/songwriter Adam McInnis as he unveils his debut album Wherever You Are on September 16th. The title track will be the first single released from the new album, which impacts Christian CHR on August 4th.

With a sound self-described as "alternative rock meets singer-songwriter soul" and production by Will Hoffman (Flyleaf, Dizmas, Spiderman 3 Soundtrack) and Dwight Baker (Podunk, Steamroller, Lennex) Wherever You Are features 12 different tracks ranging from amped up rock tunes to soulful piano ballads. Songs such as “I’m The One,” “Not Alone” and “Take These Wings” are composed with organic and poetic lyrics that communicate a message of inspiration.

“Our biggest challenge was picking the lead single,” says Tom Gimbel from DPR/High Wire. “There were so many worthy contenders. We decided on the title track because it showcased Adam’s voice and melodic songwriting as well as his heartfelt faith.”

The first single from “Wherever You Are” which derived from a simple prayer has already attracted a great amount of attention on his myspace page www.myspace.com/adammcinnis.

“This is a classic love song written from the perspective of faith,” says the 28-year-old. “There’s a certain sense of pride and a great feeling of joy that comes from finding true unconditional love. Christians feel this love in Jesus every day. The lyric ‘I know you’re coming for me’ refers to that great feeling of certainty that is found in salvation.”

Although this is McInnis first studio album, he is no stranger to the entertainment business. He first caught the national spotlight when he beat out 30,000 other artists to join the 11-person ensemble The One: Making of a Music Star and also emerged victorious in Joe Simpson’s songwriting competition Score.

With McInnis’ history of success, DPR/High Wire is looking forward to the future. “Wherever You Are is the kind of debut where you say to yourself ‘this is an artist who is going to be around for a long time,” says Gimbel. “We see this record as something that will entertain and affect listeners in the US with the greater potential of being a worldwide success.”
